SAFONA Mission Statement:

The mission of the Small Alpaca Farms of the Northeast Association (SAFONA) is to promote the interest of small to medium size alpaca breeders throughout the northeastern region through education, unification and promotion of alpacas, alpaca fiber and alpaca fiber products.

About Small Alpaca Farms of the Northeast Association:

SAFONA intends to become a group of dedicated small/medium farm alpaca owners and breeders, working together to provide educational and marketing opportunities to the small alpaca farms of DE, MD, PA, NJ, NY, VA and WV.

SAFONA members understand not only the value of breeding and selling ARI (Alpaca Registry, Inc.) alpacas but also the need to promote and sell our American alpaca fiber and alpaca products.

Opportunities:

· Provide the economical and social magic of small & medium farms uniting with a common goal.
· Provide two world-class shows (one fiber show & one halter show) drawing many breeders and   the general public.
· Provide educational programs, seminars and workshops focusing on alpaca health, nutrition,   breeding and reproduction, as well as fiber preparation, use and marketing.
· Provide networking and forming alliances with other breeders.
· Provide web site interaction.
